This is possibly the one time of the year when families have the chance to get together and get away. Popular spring break destinations such as Walt Disney World in Orlando will cater to vacationing families and will probably be overpriced and overcrowded at this time of the year. If you want to do spring break on a budget you’ll need to avoid traditional tourist spots.

When planning your family vacation think outside the box and consider one of these popular spring break family destinations:

Destin, Florida

If your family wants to spend spring break at the beach Destin, Florida is the place to be. It’s located on Florida’s Emerald Coast and is known for its miles of gorgeous beaches. The Harbor Boardwalk is also a must-see for visitors according to the City of Destin. It’s a quarter of a mile of gorgeous views, fishing boat charters and good restaurants.
